How can we change the workplace environment for innovation?

To foster innovation, organizations need to create the right environment, which consists of climate, culture, and conditions to encourage creativity. Climate is the observable surface level, amenable to change, while culture is the shared assumptions that have built up over time and deeply engrained in us. The cultural transition for innovation requires unfreeze, transition, and refreeze. To create an environment for innovation, the climate for creativity needs to be well defined and led by top management. Building an innovation environment needs dedicated time and well-thought-out actions to influence or constrain the culture to spur innovation.
