RACIVS – The Secret to Managing your Stakeholders
The RACIVS matrix (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed, Verifies, Signs-Off) can help prevent poor communication and broken coordination in project management. By clearly assigning responsibilities and roles of stakeholders related to specific deliverables or activities, the RACIVS technique can save a lot of discussion and prevent project failure. This technique can be applied by listing the deliverables and filling in the RACIVS elements for each deliverable, or by listing the stakeholders in the columns and entering an R, A, C, I, V or S in the stakeholder cells for each deliverable.
